Actions to Promote Internationalization
Financial aid aims to support professors at the University of São Paulo in actions aimed at institutional internationalization or enabling the expansion of the university's international relations. The aid lines cover the following actions:
ACTION 1 – Complementary Grant – Arrival of Foreign Teachers and Researchers
For a professor coming from a foreign institution for activities at USP Units, which directly involve undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The request must be forwarded by a USP professor.
ACTION 2 – Complementary Grant – Teaching Initiative for Institutional Internationalization
Visits by USP professors for:
1. monitoring and/or verifying the implementation of activities under current agreements;
2. monitoring the final phase of negotiation of exchange agreements, involving USP students abroad.
ACTION 3 – Complementary Grant – Institutional Internationalization Project
Initiatives that aim to raise resources from foreign organizations/universities and that result in financing for exchange programs for USP students. In this case, in addition to the form below, a project containing objectives, goals and actions will be required, which explains the contribution to institutional internationalization, with documentation of the history of activities and negotiations already maintained and expression of endorsement of the foreign institution.
Rules for grant bestowal
1. The request must be forwarded to AUCANI 60 days prior to the start of activities, through a process opened in the unit's protocol service.
2. The process must be accompanied by documentation relevant to the action, as listed at the end of the aid request form.
3. The amount granted will be transferred to the teaching unit, through the reallocation of funds for the Financial Administration Service's arrangements regarding the payment of daily allowances or purchase of tickets, in accordance with the principles of public accounting.
4. Financial aid will only be granted to professors currently working at the University. Therefore, it will not be authorized for professors who, during the period of the trip/event, are retired, on vacation, on paid leave, maternity leave, medical leave or away for other purposes.
5. Proof of the request (resources requested and/or obtained from development agencies) is mandatory. If the granting of aid is approved, the transfer of resources is conditional on proof of obtaining the resource from another source.
